Niners Senior Citizen Club honors our men and women in uniform, active duty and retired.
Nearly 200 people showed up for an inspiring service to honor all active duty and retired military service members. The event was sponsored by the Niners Senior Citizen Club and held at the South Norfolk Community Center. From musical processions provided by Sgt. Rob Lockwood on his bagpipe, and a candlelit service in honor of all those who have given their lives in the line of duty, to the inspiring words given by event organizers Mayor Dr. Alan P. Krasnoff, Sheriff Newhart, and Mary Lou Hill, it was a stirring event. Food was provided for everyone to enjoy, along with the excellent company.
